When Arbitraging, it is important to be mindful of the fact that you are a HOST and not a roommate, or landlord. For those who may not have a clear understanding of what classifies as host, keep reading. There are three distinctive qualities of a host.
First you want to be welcoming. Not only your first interaction with your guest, but every point of contact afterwards. Many people you host may have different “in life” situations going on. The last thing you want to do is be the person who makes someone feel un-welcomed and out of their own territory.
Secondly, be helpful. I’m not saying drop everything your doing to give your guest a tour around your city, but be willing to assist when you can. If your able to go an extra step to make your guest have a pleasurable stay, do so.
Lastly, be prepared. As a host you want to stay prepared for any scenario that could happen at any of your properties. Rather it be the A/C going out or a automated lock system glitch STAY PREPARED. Keep in mind your sole purpose in this industry is making your guests happy they chose your place versus their other hundred options.
